PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The proposed project includes the reconstructing of and widening of FM 35 from IH 30 to FM 2642 approximately 1.7 miles long. The proposed project would reconstruct the existing two-lane roadway to six 12-foot-wide travel lanes with curb and gutter and a raised median from IH 30 to FM 2453, and four 12-foot-wide travel lanes with curb and gutter and a raised median from FM 2453 to FM 2642. There would be left turn lanes at East Old Greenville Road, Joe Bailey Street, Parkfield Road, Gardenia Drive, Creekside Drive/FM 2453, Preston Road, and Chestnut Court. A continuous 10-foot-wide shared-use path would be constructed along both sides of the roadway.

RIGHT OF WAY (ROW) INFORMATION

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right-of-way and no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced.
