PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The proposed project would widen 3.25 miles of FM 551 from SH 276 to SH 66. From SH 276 to I-30, FM 551 would be widened from two 11-foot-wide travel lanes to four 12-foot-wide travel lanes, separated by a grass median. From I-30 north to SH 66, FM 551 would be widened from two 11-foot-wide travel lanes to two 12-foot-wide travel lanes with a 14-foot-wide center turn lane. A 10-foot wide shared use path for bicyclists and pedestrians would be constructed along both sides of the roadway.
