Notice of Public Meeting for FM 1378 from FM 2514 (Parker Road) to FM 2786 (East Stacy Road) in Collin County

Where and When:

A virtual public meeting will be held at www.keepitmovingdallas.com/FM1378. The virtual meeting is not a live event and can be viewed at any time beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 and will remain available online through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

An in-person public meeting will be held in an open house format where the public may come and go at their convenience.  The in-person meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lovejoy High School Cafeteria, 2350 Estates Parkway, Lucas, TX  75002. 

Materials presented at the virtual public meeting and in-person public meetings will be identical.

All comments must be received on or before April 20, 2022.

Description:

TxDOT is conducting the FM 1378 Feasibility Study to evaluate possibilities for widening and realigning FM 1378 from FM 2514 (Parker Road) north to FM 2786 (East Stacy Road), approximately 6.4 miles located in Collin County, Texas.  The study will lead into further project development for the east-west section along West Lucas Road from FM 3286 Intersection Improvements Project to West Lucas Road, for approximately 0.8 miles.

Special Accommodations:

The virtual public meeting and in-person options will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
