FM 548 from N of US 80 to SH 205 - Public Meeting

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct a Public Meeting for the purpose of soliciting public comments on the proposed reconstruction and widening of Farm to Market Road (FM) 548 from north of U.S. Highway (US) 80 to State Highway (SH) 205 in Kaufman and Rockwall Counties, a distance of approximately 7.3 miles.
The proposed project would reconstruct and widen existing FM 548 from a two‐lane rural highway to a six‐lane urban divided roadway from US 80 to Windmill Farms Boulevard and a four‐lane divided curbed roadway from Windmill Farms Boulevard to SH 205 and would include curb and gutter, sidewalks, intersection improvements, and left‐turn and right‐turn lanes at designated locations. The right‐of‐way (ROW) width would vary from 130 feet to 235 feet. Additional ROW would be required.
The Public Meeting will be held at North Forney High School, 6170 Falcon Way, Forney, Texas 75126 on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The Public Meeting will be an Open House format with no formal presentation.
