Notice of Public Meeting for FM 1777 from SH 66 to FM 6 in Collin County

Where and When:

A virtual public meeting will be held at www.keepitmovingdallas.com/FM1777. The virtual meeting is not a live event and can be viewed at any time beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 and will remain available online through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

An in-person public meeting will be held in an open house format where the public may come and go at their convenience.  The in-person meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ouida Baley Middle School Cafeteria, 1310 SH 66, Royse City, TX  75189.

Materials presented at the virtual public meeting and in-person public meeting will be identical.

All comments must be received on or before June 1, 2022.

Description:

The proposed project includes the reconstruction and widening of FM 1777 from SH 66 to FM 6. The proposed project involves the reconstruction of the existing two-lane rural roadway to a four (ultimate six) lane divided highway. A continuous 6-foot sidewalk will be provided on the west side of the proposed roadway alignment.  A continuous 10-foot shared use path will be provided on the east side of the proposed roadway alignment. The proposed project consists generally of four (ultimate six) lanes with curb and gutter, plus a raised median.

Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
